United Women in Faith Women's Retreat: Habits for a Sacred Home

Friday, March 13 – Sunday, March 15
This is what the Lord says:
“Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. -Jeremiah 6:16 NIV

In a world as chaotic as it is right now, it can feel difficult to create a peaceful home.  Our culture has come unhinged from Christian moorings and timeless values. Based on the book by Jennifer Pepito, a mom of seven and a mentor to mothers around the world, we will explore restorative habits and practices in your home to foster peace, simplicity, and stability during turbulent times. Leaning on the practices of historic Christians-like Saint Benedict, Mary McLeod Bethune, Ella “mama” Tweten and our own Birmingham & Berkley First sisters in the faith, we will be guided toward habits of stewardship, order, simplicity, hospitality, and more to create the sacred home you long for.

Learn how to:
● push back chaos by finding your own rhythm
● eliminate distractions so your home becomes a place of refuge
● foster a family culture of simplicity and stability

Don't fear the future. Create a home that brings life to future generations--and shines with hope and peace in these trying times.
The retreat is open to all women of Berkley and Birmingham First, as well as their family and friends. It will be held at the beautiful Lake Huron Retreat Center in Burtchville, Michigan. Each room includes a private bathroom and its own thermostat for individual comfort. The retreat center also offers spaces for quiet reflection and outdoor areas, weather permitting.

Arrival is on Friday, March 13, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. The retreat will conclude with worship and communion on Sunday, March 15, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Space is limited.
